In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: llc: Drop support for ETH_P_TR_802_2. syzbot reported an uninit-value bug below. [0] llc supports ETH_P_802_2 (0x0004) and used to support ETH_P_TR_802_2 (0x0011), and syzbot abused the latter to trigger the bug. write$tun(r0, &(0x7f0000000040)={@val={0x0, 0x11}, @val, @mpls={[], @llc={@snap={0xaa, 0x1, ')', "90e5dd"}}}}, 0x16) llc_conn_handler() initialises local variables {saddr, daddr}.mac based on skb in llc_pdu_decode_sa()/llc_pdu_decode_da() and passes them to __llc_lookup(). However, the initialisation is done only when skb->protocol is htons(ETH_P_802_2), otherwise, __llc_lookup_established() and __llc_lookup_listener() will read garbage. The missing initialisation existed prior to commit 211ed865108e ("net: delete all instances of special processing for token ring"). It removed the part to kick out the token ring stuff but forgot to close the door allowing ETH_P_TR_802_2 packets to sneak into llc_rcv(). Let's remove llc_tr_packet_type and complete the deprecation. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: fix lockdep positive in sk_diag_dump_icons() syzbot reported a lockdep splat [1]. Blamed commit hinted about the possible lockdep violation, and code used unix_state_lock_nested() in an attempt to silence lockdep. A vulnerability was reported in the Open vSwitch sub-component in the Linux Kernel. The flaw occurs when a recursive operation of code push recursively calls into the code block. The OVS module does not validate the stack depth, pushing too many frames and causing a stack overflow. As a result, this can lead to a crash or other related issues.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mctp: perform route lookups under a RCU read-side lock Our current route lookups (mctp_route_lookup and mctp_route_lookup_null) traverse the net's route list without the RCU read lock held. This means the route lookup is subject to preemption, resulting in an potential grace period expiry, and so an eventual kfree() while we still have the route pointer. Add the proper read-side critical section locks around the route lookups, preventing premption and a possible parallel kfree. The remaining net->mctp.routes accesses are already under a rcu_read_lock, or protected by the RTNL for updates. Based on an analysis from Sili Luo <rootlab@huawei.com>, where introducing a delay in the route lookup could cause a UAF on simultaneous sendmsg() and route deletion.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: rp2: use 'request_firmware' instead of 'request_firmware_nowait' In 'rp2_probe', the driver registers 'rp2_uart_interrupt' then calls 'rp2_fw_cb' through 'request_firmware_nowait'. In 'rp2_fw_cb', if the firmware don't exists, function just return without initializing ports of 'rp2_card'. But now the interrupt handler function has been registered, and when an interrupt comes, 'rp2_uart_interrupt' may access those ports then causing NULL pointer dereference or other bugs. Because the driver does some initialization work in 'rp2_fw_cb', in order to make the driver ready to handle interrupts, 'request_firmware' should be used instead of asynchronous 'request_firmware_nowait'. This report reveals it: INFO: trying to register non-static key. the code is fine but needs lockdep annotation. turning off the locking correctness validator. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFS: Fix an Oopsable condition in __nfs_pageio_add_request() Ensure that nfs_pageio_error_cleanup() resets the mirror array contents, so that the structure reflects the fact that it is now empty. Also change the test in nfs_pageio_do_add_request() to be more robust by checking whether or not the list is empty rather than relying on the value of pg_count.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dsa: mt7530: fix VLAN traffic leaks PCR_MATRIX field was set to all 1's when VLAN filtering is enabled, but was not reset when it is disabled, which may cause traffic leaks: ip link add br0 type bridge vlan_filtering 1 ip link add br1 type bridge vlan_filtering 1 ip link set swp0 master br0 ip link set swp1 master br1 ip link set br0 type bridge vlan_filtering 0 ip link set br1 type bridge vlan_filtering 0 # traffic in br0 and br1 will start leaking to each other As port_bridge_{add,del} have set up PCR_MATRIX properly, remove the PCR_MATRIX write from mt7530_port_set_vlan_aware.
